Service creation
Service creation
This article describes the main parameters that must be considered, in order to manage a new service creation in a Vendor catalogue.
Main information:
1, 2 & 3 : Define the service category and service title. It is recommended to choose a title in the suggestion list, custom service title remains possible. The internal reference field is only used for identification in the Vendor’s service dashboard.
4 : “SHOW” Defines if the service will be displayed in the Customer catalogue. This option makes sense when a service could not be offered alone. If “HIDE” is configured, the service won’t appear in the catalogue search, but could be used in service packages as “Mandatory Ground Handling” or “Package”. The service price will be then calculated in the overall package and will be offered to the customer only in this combination.
5: The Settings field defines the service type that will be created with its own specific parameters and in which Customer catalogue the services will be found.
“Services” stands for general type of service with common service parameters (see Common service parameters). They appear in the Ground Handling catalogue.
“Mandatory Ground Handling” allows to pack ramp handling, compulsory passenger and crew services offered into one. This type of service is dedicated to FBO and Airport operations as it opens the Slot booking process and GENDEC transmission channel. It appears in the Ground Handling catalogue.
Package groups services in a similar way without opening document transmission and slot channel. It appears in the Ground Handling catalogue.
“Hangar” settings define the hangar rental service. It appears in the Hangar & Parking catalogue.
“Outside ramp” settings define outside parking where the availability and price is managed based on aircraft footprint, similar to hangar. It appears in the Hangar & Parking catalogue.
“Parking” settings frame parking management based on parking limitations and positions on stock. It appears in the Hangar & Parking catalogue.

Additional informations
Defines the service validity and the service identity displayed in the catalogue as a card.
6: “Validity date” – the offer must be valid in order to be found in the catalogue search. The beginning date must be already started and End date in the future
7: “Characteristics” are the service attributes that appear in the service catalogue card. They must be filled when defined as mandatory. The “+ADD” button allows to add additional attributes. If there are some attributes not featured, but that a Vendor would like to use, they could be added as suggestion by the Operator MyFlight Connect at Vendor’s request.
8: The service pictures appear in the service catalogue card. Size limitation must be respected when loading.
9: The service description appears in the service catalogue card.

Price management
The service price management is the service cost configuration tool:
10 : “Catalogue price” – if not activated, the service will appear On Quote in the Customer catalogue
11: “Visible” – is a combination layer with catalogue price, that allows the Vendor to selectively display the service pricing, if “VISIBLE” not activated, the pricing defined in the service profile won’t be displayed to the customer, but remains consultable for the Vendor as his internal price list
12: “Calendar” – enables the price list definition for time periods – daily rate differentiation around the clock, days of the week, or periods of the year.

Airports
Defines where the service will be proposed by the catalogue Search engine to the Customers.
13: Only the airports configured in the Vendor’s Company Organization profile are listed as eligible for the service offering. If the airport choices need to be extended, the “Organization/Airports” module has first to be extended to the new airports of service.
14: “+ADD” new airport field

Customer contracts
Lists the contract terms assigned to customer accounts for the specific service : price discount and applicable cancellation policy.
